They were created by great aunt Lavinia Walker, Grandma Babbitt's sister, in 1876, and presented to Nora Campau Babbitt, now Nora Babbitt Harsh, singing teacher in Chicago, at Fine Arts Bldg. 410 So. Michigan Ave. These negros were made in Ypsilanti, Michigan .
