In-8°. - Édition originale tirée à 556 ex. Un des 500 sur Mittineague-Mill (n. 406, peu lisible). Superbe texte qui contient quelques vers inoubliables et qui fera partie, par la suite, de toutes les éditions de "Charmes". - Réf. Karaïskakis & Chapon 20. - Exemplaire accompagné de 2 autographes : 1. Carte postale à son effigie, au docteur Ludo Van Bogaert. Paris, cachets postaux (peu lisibles). Il le remercie pour ses bons voeux, regrette d'avoir raté son passage en novembre et annonce sa visite à Bruxelles le 26 janvier. L. Van Bogaert (1897-1989) était un éminent médecin neurologue et bibliophile belge. - 2. Note rapide au crayon bleu concernant une épreuve. - Et de 3 albums iconographiques contenant 38 (23, 11, 4) photos d'amateur n/bl par la docteure Marie-Louise Berrewaerts: 1. 18 x 14,5 cm. Bradel toile bleue. - 2-3. 21,5 x 15,5 cm. Sous couverture imitant celle de l'édition originale supra. Vues de sa maison natale à Sète, du cimetière, de sa tombe, etc. Albums soigneusement constitués avec qqs légendes dactylographiées. L'ensemble contient aussi, volants, sur le même thème : 2 cartes postales aut. non s. à Mme Demanet-Ledent, apparemment la commanditaire des photos et au docteur Bardiaux. - 1 autre carte postale. - 7 photos en n/bl ou en couleurs. - 4 documents au timbre "premier jour" (10/7/1954) dont 1 enveloppe officielle. - 2 timbres collés sur 1 f. dont 1 oblitéré. Auction - Terms of sale

The purchaser shall pay, strictly cash, the hammer price, in €, together with a premium of 25 %, eventually plus the resale tax, if applicable: 4 % for hammer prices from € 2000 on, only for original art and if the author died less than 70 years ago.
The auction follows the order indicated by the catalogue. The biddings start at about 80 % of the lowest estimate and each bid must be +/? 10% higher than the previous one. In case of a dispute the lot will be called again.
The auctioneer has the right to refuse a bid, and this without further explanation.
Each buyer by making a bid acknowledges the conditions of sale and the fact that he has inspected the purchased item.
The auctioneer has the right to split a lot or join several lots.
Lots with two or more titles, series or periodicals, or lots with a mention "n.c." and 'sold w.a.f.'are not collated and cannot be returned.
Each buyer is supposed to buy for his own account and cannot claim any commission. Each bidder should inspect the lots during the exhibition. Under no circumstances can an item, once sold, be returned. For lots bought via a bidding order remarks or complaints, also concerning the authenticity of the items, should be formulated within 2 weeks after the auction. After that delay no item can be returned.
