Riviera - very dirty varnish, frame rubbing. Visible stretcher marks. Scattered craquelure. Few small scuffs. The artist appears to have intentionally left spots bare, where the white of the canvas shows through. I do not believe these are paint flakes. Portrait - dirty varnish, frame rubbing. Four patched tears (small), upper left; upper center; bottom center and left. Few other tears.
