Lee was born in Damyang and received his BFA and MFA from the Chosun University in 1997. He had one-person exhibitions at the Gwangju Art Center, Gwangju, in 2004; the Seoul Art Center, Seoul, in 2005; the Cais Gallery, Hong Kong, in 2007; and the Park Ryu Sook Gallery, Seoul, in 2008. His works were exhibited in the New York Asian Contemporary Art Fair and the Tokyo International Art Contemporary in 2007.
