Item Overview

Description

signed L.E.Wilmarth., l.l., and dated 1870

oil on canvas

Condition Note: Canvas is lined. SURFACE: in fair condition; relining has compressed surface--background darks have "sunk-in" somewhat; colors of peaches are quite fresh, but canvas weave shows through on most of them; there is some texture to dark green of leaves; scattered craquelure (flattened and stable) UNDER UV: there is inpainting, but difficult to understand extent as it's impossible to see through old varnish
