Leo Mol (Ukranian, b. 1915; Active Canada) "Kneeling Nude Female", fine and rare bronze figure, 1951, signed and dated "Leo Mol 51", and numbered "4/10", h. 12", w. 9", d. 7-1/2". Provenance: The estates of David and Eula Wintermann. Internationally acclaimed sculptor and artist Dr. Leo Mol was born in the Ukraine in 1915 and moved to Winnipeg, Canada in 1948. Over three hundred of Mol's works are displayed in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden in Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park, and more than eighty of his major stained glass windows are in churches throughout the city.
