-On verso, this work is signed, located "Westport, Connecticut", and titled. -Under U.V. light, we note purplish spots to part of left shoulder, left arm, and left half of chest. In our opinion, (including one also at cloth) these spots do not appear to be restoration. -At left arm and in approximately lower right half of painting, there are vertical surface drips that are visible under U.V. light. -Some minor retouch in linear areas to part of top of left hand and in an area of cloth to right of left arm. -Some minor retouch near lower center at left edge of painting. -Except where noted, most of figure, including face, neck, right arm, and much of torso are in excellent original condition. -The above mentioned surface drips are visible in natural light as are some of the surface ''spots'' -Some visible scratches and losses to frame. **In our opinion, this is likely an oil painting.** .
