Peintre espagnol ayant passé sa vie en France, Louis Fernandez fut un ami proche de Picasso dans les années trente. Remarqué par nombre de ses contemporains, tels que Georges Braque et Piet Mondrian, une exposition rétrospective célébra son oeuvre en 1972 au Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou à Paris.

Spanish painter who lived his whole life in France, Louis Fernandez was a very close friend of Picasso in the 1930s. Noted by many of his contemporaries such as Georges Braque and Piet Mondrian, a retrospective exhibition celebrated his art in 1972 at the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
