Louis Papaluca (1890 - 1934), a pair of signed and inscribed gouache paintings on paper - the three masted yacht 'Xarifa.N.Y.Y.C.' in calm, in Naples harbour and in a storm, 45 x 70cm. NB: Yacht Xarifa was registered to Franklin M. Singer, member of the New York Yacht Club and son of Isaac Singer (of the sewing machine fame). Franklin's mother Isabella Eugeny Boye was the model for the Statue of Liberty. Provenance: Acquired by the vendor's grandfather who crewed on the yacht Xafira
