Luigi Vanvitelli (1700-73) Italy. An Italian engineer and the most important 18th century architect of Italy. This aqueduct was built between 1752-64. Called the Carolino Aqueduct it supplied water to Naples Copperplate engraving Published C. 1770. This perfectly preserved section of the aqueduct is 1736 feet long
