Provenance: Taylor Galleris, ?DDublin The main theme running though Gale's work is contemporary Irish landscape and new people interacting with it. His paintings often create a dark commentary on rural life in Ireland. He has always been very conscious of the inroads, often to urgent effect, that urban expansion has on the rural countryside. Gale has an extensive C.V., having exhibited extensively throughout Ireland and further afield. He has won numerous awards and is regarded by many as one of the finest painters working in Ireland today.
