Condition:
The paint surface has slightly darkened and shows some craquelure, consistent with age. There is some abrasion and tiny holes to the margins due to the former mounting.

Maximilian Spilhaczek (1876-1961)
Born in Vienna, Maximilian Spilhaczek studied at the local Art Academy under the guidance of Eduard von Lichtenfels, Christian Griepenkerl, and Franz Rumpler. In 1901 he was awarded the golden ‘Függer Medal’. He exhibited his works multiple times, especially in his hometown. (cko)
