Description

MERIWETHER LEWIS CLARK(b. 1809) Confederate colonel, son of famed Louisiana Purchase explorer William Clark. Rare A.D.S. "M. Lewis Clark Col. C. S. Artillery", 1p. 4to., Oct. 26, 1863 in which Clark is reimbursed $10.25 for his expenses on ferry tolls, horse shoeing, and other sundry expenses while travelling between Chattanooga and Atlanta. Also signed twice by THOMAS BARTLETT, wounded in action at Atlanta, captured and held at Fort Delaware. Very good.
