MERLIN LITTLE THUNDER AMERICAN INDIAN OIL ON BOARD Oil on board by Oklahoma artist Merlin Little Thunder (Cheyenne, born 1956), a fine example of his trademark small format work with extensive detail. Signed lower right and titled "Bowstring Woman Scout" lower left; a wonderful composition of light, shadow, sunlight on distant buttes and a detailed figure in the foreground. Stunningly matted and framed by the artist in a manner that accents rather than overpowers. Eight mats of complimentary colors cut with openings of graduated sizes, a fine carved frame, an additional artist signature with monogram on the top mat. Overall size of 18.5 x 20.5 inches, image size of 4.75 x 7 inches. Very fine condition.
