Another fine example of Merritt Mauzey's cotton farming series, this image was used as an illustration on page 17 of Mauzey's book Cotton Farm Boy, published in 1953. The image was used again in the 1973 issue of Mississippi Review, v. 12, no. 1, which features this print on the cover.

This print is in the Collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (Accession 1970.37.7) and the Merritt Mauzey Papers Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi.
