By taking part in this auction either as a seller or purchaser it is agreed that;

The Auctioneers (Leigh Auctions) is deemed as an agent by the Vendor and the Buyer and as such cannot be deemed liable in the case of default by either the vendor or the purchaser.
All items in the auction are purchased as seen and whilst every effort is made to describe the items as accurately as possible the Auctioneer cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions. The descriptions are only a guide and by bidding, the intended purchaser warrants they have satisfied themselves of the condition and authenticity of the lots they are intending to bid or have bid on.

Once the hammer falls the Purchaser is solely responsible for the item purchased.

The purchaser shall be the person who makes the highest bid.

The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse any bid and will regulate the stages of bidding at their sole discretion.

The vendor warrants they have title and ownership of the goods entered into the auction and indemnify Leigh Auctions against any claims by third parties in relation to said item/s.

The Auctioneer shall have the right at their discretion to bid on behalf of the vendor up to any reserve price the vendor may have imposed.

All prospective purchasers including those who intend to bid in the room or online via UK Auctioneers.com, should satisfy themselves of the condition and authenticity of any of the lots in the auction. Leigh Auctions will not held responsible for any errors or inaccuracies. The purchaser agrees to purchase any lot at their own risk.

All autographed items will come with a certificate of authenticity unless otherwise stated.


Origin, date, age, provenance and condition stated in the descriptions in this catalogue are purely an opinion and are not statements of fact. It is a condition of sale that any purchaser agrees to this condition.

Purchasers may only bid once they have registered their name, address and email address and have a bidding number. Unregistered bidders will not be able to purchase any lot and the auctioneer will disregard their bid and re-enter the lot for sale.

In any dispute the Auctioneers have the absolute right of discretion including the right to re enter a lot for sale.

The Auctioneer reserves the right of absolute discretion should a dispute occur concerning a sale, including the right to offer any disputed lot for re-sale.

All bidders in this auction will pay 20% commision on the hammer price.

Payment can be made by debit cards, credit cards(not American Express) paypal or bank transfer. Credit cards will attract a 3% surcharge. No surcharge for a debit card or bank transfer.

Under no circumstances will lots be released until all items are paid for in full.

These conditions shall be governed by English Law and all parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
