Herbert B. Russin ( American / Russian 1892-1970 ) "The Juggler", Original oil on masonite board painting. Signed "Russin". Herbert Russin exhibited with the Society of Independent Artists & painted primarily portraits & figures. This subject depicts a somewhat melancholy clown juggling colorful balls. It is painted in part using a palette knife, as seen in the very impasto thick paint in some areas. A lovely painting displayed in a 15 1/2" X 19 1/2" overall wooden frame with canvas liner & wooden fillet.
