Miller, J[ohn]. Three hand-colored botanical mezzotints by John Miller. Three color-printed mezzotints, finished by hand. Each approximately 21x14. J. Miller, 1770-76 Johann Sebastian Muller (1715-1785) was a German artist who went by John Miller, and was well known for his botanical paintings and engravings. Includes: Plate of the Narrow Leaved Kalmia flower. 1770 * Clafsis X. Ordo III. Decantria. Trigynia. Stellaria. 1774 * Clafsis XVII. Ordo I. Diadelphia Hexandria Fumaria. 1776. The first plate chipped, with short tears to right edge; very good or better.
