Two young boys, seated on a carpet before dark blue drapery with their St Bernard: the elder boy in ochre-coloured shawl, seated on the dog's back, his right hand resting on the dog's head, his left arm around his younger brother; the younger boy, wearing blue shawl, lace trimmed white dress and lace cap with blue ribbon.
Signed on the obverse and dated Emilie de Loqueyssie. 1823., square gilt-metal frame with laurel wreath and ribbon cresting.
