Obverse: bust of Charles VIII in profile to left, with long hair and slight beard, wearing cap and pleated gown with Collar and large rectangular pendant Badge of the Order of Saint Michael, · KAROLVS · OCTAVVS · FRANCORVM · IERVSALEN · ET CICILIE · REX ·

Reverse: Victory, winged and wearing tunic, standing in a car pulled to the right by two horses, holds a sword and palm branch in her right hand and the reins in her left. Peace, holding an olive branch in both hands, walks in front. · VICTORIAM · PAX · SEQV ETVR ·
This medal is one of a group of medals depicting Frenchmen who took part in the expedition to Italy in 1495.
