Now living and working in upstate New York, Nicola Tyson was born in London and educated at the Chelsea School of Art and the St Martin's School of Art. Best known as a print maker and a draughtsman, Tyson's mutant-like zoological creations are included in major public collections the world over, including the Tate Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. Most recently she has had solo shows at Sadie Coles HQ, the Friedrich Petzel Gallery, New York and at the Kunsthalle Zurich.
