Condition Report

The canvas has been recently relined and as a result the paint surface is pressed. The paint surface appears to have been recently cleaned and re-varnished. There is some minor fading of pigment in the blues flowers. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows retouching to the centre of the yellow daffodil, but a very thick milky varnish which makes it impossible to see any further work that has been carried out. With the naked eye it appears that the craquelure has been infilled, and there have been small scattered retouchings to the small green leaves on the right. This lot is offered in a simple black modern frame, with a gilt sight edge, in very good condition.
"In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
