The paintings are overall in very good condition but were not examined outside the frame. Minor abrasions and stains are observed on the paper.

寧斧成（1897-1966） 四君子 水墨紙本 鏡框四屏 一九五七至一九五八年作



其一：梅

款識：濃墨作鐵漢，寧此耐寒枝。幹誤漢，丁酉（1957）冬月，老腐。

鈐印：一九五七年、老腐、寧二、腐翁金石、斧成六十後作、腐翁書畫



其二：蘭

款識：早浴泉石裡，出討識奇芳。辛苦披榛得，方知是國香。一九五八年夏，老腐。

鈐印：老腐、寧二、行易知難



其三：竹

款識：怪石本古色，叢篁蒼玉枝。戊戌（1958）孟春，老腐作於今吾草堂。

鈐印：一九五八年、老腐、寧二、大膽無恥



其四：菊

款識：陶令歸時徑未荒，魏公老去節彌芳。華前永有千秋在，持比南山壽更長。戊戌（1958）三月，老腐。

鈐印：老腐、寧二大年、百花齊放百家爭鳴

Originating from Haicheng, Liaoning Province, Ning Fucheng (1897-1966) relocated to Beijing in his 40s and established himself as a professional artist. His mastery of the four literati arts—poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal carving—is epitomized in the set of four paintings included in the present lot.
