Leonard Morel-Ladeuil (French, 1820-1888), a large gilt metal 'Dance Of the Willis' ewer and basin
The ewer with a central continuous band depicting the 'Dance of the Willis' among lily pads, the handle surmounted by an owl, with armorial shield beneath spout, on knopped stem and circular lily pad base, upon a basin representing a pond, the border modelled in relief with snake, frog and lizard, both ewer and basin signed 'Morel Ladeuil', 28cm wide, 36cm deep, 66cm high (11in wide, 14in deep, 25 1/2in high)
