Notes

Known for her oil paintings and sculpture, Pan Yuliang trained at the Shanghai Meizhuan under Liu Haisu. Between 1921 and 1928 she attended the Lyon National Art School, the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and the National Fine Arts Institute in Rome. She taught at the National Central University in Nanjing under Xu Beihong between 1928 and 1935, before settling permanently in Paris. She was a member of the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon du Printemps.

Pan's work appears in the Cernuschi and the Modern Art Museums in Paris, as well as the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
