Notes

"Pan Yuliang was the first artist from China's art scene to go and study abroad in France, securing her fame as a modern female artist from abroad. Her works combine Chinese and Western painting styles and are infused with her individual personality. Pan conveys the characteristics of female gentility and grace through her paintings. Her accurate grasp of the human body, original use of paint and ink mediums and her pointillist technique of painting, combined with the spiritual resonance of Chinese landscape painting, allowed her to forge a new path in the fusion of Chinese and Western painting."
