Panchal (Shanti, 1951-). The African Game, watercolour on paper, signed, 73 x 54cm (28.75 x 21.25ins), framed and glazed, with Edwin Coe label to verso. Shanti Panchal was born in Gujarad in India, and studied art in Bombay, and later at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, on a British Council Scholarship, and now lives and works in London. His work has been widely exhibited in India and the UK, including a touring solo exhibition entitled Private Myths organised by the Pitshanger Manor Gallery in 2000.
