NOTE Where goods are being exported from the European Union no VAT is payable on buyers premium, which can be reclaimed on export. TAXES

Value Added Tax on hammer prices is not normally charged although on rare occasions it has to be paid by a purchaser depending on the tax status of the vendor. If VAT is payable on the hammer price on any lot this will be clearly stated and the lot will be marked with a dagger † .
