Additional engraved title page, woodcut head-pieces and initials, numerous woodcut illustrations, appendix and index (additional title trimmed and laid down, printed title with marginal hole at gutter, some index leaves detaching or loose, occasional light spotting and staining). Contemporary calf gilt (rebacked preserving original gilt spine, corners repaired, scratched and scuffed). Provenance: Anthony ?salvin (old signature on title); E. H. Greenly (armorial bookplate and signature); Vittorio Arioli (ex-libris sticker). STC 19302; Henrey 286; Hunt 235; Nissen BBI 1490.
