Narrative of the Adventures and Sufferings of Samuel Patterson Experienced in the Pacific Ocean, and Many Other Parts of the World with an Account of the Feegee and Sandwich Islands. The Press in Palmer, [MA], May 1, 1817. [iii]-xii, [13]-144 pp. 12mo. Recent full calf in antique style, red morocco spine label. Title-page with a small hole, some old ink calculations and narrow reinforcement at inner margin, typical minor browning to text.

First edition recounting the author’s three Pacific travels. Of particular note is Patterson’s description of Fiji, where he was marooned after shipwreck for six months. Howes refers to this as the second issue, following a Rhode Island imprint, but this issue is unrecorded in the other references sources cited.
