Notes

Paul Feeley was a painter and sculptor who created forms more than images; he depicted shapes and patterns that were both reflections on and interpretations of his environment. The dynamism of his sculptural works, like Deneb-El-Dephini, lies in their stoicism and subtle energy. The complimentary colors in this piece have roots in Mediterranean culture, while the shape references Moorish decoration, one of FeeleyÕs inspirations. Sold with a copy of the Guggenheim Exhibition catalog. Signed, titled and dated to underside: [DENIBELDELPHINI PAUL FEELEY 1965].
