A fine illustration, apparently executed for Young People's Magazine, the scene shows a covered wagon train making its way through a mountain pass, and being attacked by marauding Indians. French by birth, Frenzeny immigrated to the U.S. and during the 1870's and 1880's lived for a time in Texas and later San Francisco, executing many similar illustrations for Harper's and Leslie's.
