Peter Plotkin (1879-1960) "San Antonio Orphans" oil on canvas. Canvas: 12''H x 18''W; Frame: 21''H x 26.5''W. Signed bottom right, "Peter Plotkin". Plotkin studied in Paris, Rome and London and then immigrated to New York in 1910. In 1915 he made his way to McKinney, Texas where he won First Prize in a national competition sponsored by the American Legion.
