Good condition
Dutch still life with animals, skillfully displaying the peculiar nature of roosters though the mastering of light and shadow painting.

Condition:

The painting is in good condition as consistent with age. A closer look with UV Light reveals minor retouchings in the upper right section of the painting as also in the plumage of the hens in the lower right area. In addition, there is a vertical retouching in the area where the panel was once cracked; this latter has been skillfully fixed with a wooden support on the back. The painting measures 81.8 cm x 58.8 cm and the frame 96 x 71.6 cm.
