11 parts in 9. Oblong folio (330 x 457 mm). 21 chromolithographed or tinted lithographed plates (most mounted on card, 2 printed on card) plus one folding map; text illustrations. Original brown wrappers; publisher's cloth portfolio pictorially stamped in gilt. Light foxing, wrappers separating, portfolio sunned and worn.

FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL PARTS. Pettersson traveled through Lapland in 1850-52. The color views after Abraham Lundquist are lovely and include native villages and costume, reindeer, and dramatic scenery.
