Pieter Koning (b.1948) Construction I, 1998 Whiter and black marble, 47 x 44 x 24cm Pieter was born in Holland in 1948. He worked with qualified stone sculptors for two years, learning and refining his art. He came to Ireland in 1980 and settled in Teeraha, Cahirciveen, where he established his studio. He has exhibited in the Crawford Gallery, The Royal Hospital Kilmainham and Cill Riallaig. His work is found in the collection of the Dutch Govenment as well as numerous private collections throughout Ireland, the UK, Holland, Germany and the USA.
