Notes

Rare. Samuel Leigh published a number of city panoramas; this one was issued both plain and coloured for £1 and £1.14s respectively. Only three copies, including the Atabey and Blackmer copies can be traced at auction since 1975 and Blackmer states that only two copies are located in NUC, and that it is not present in the Gennadius Library, the British Library, nor the Victoria and Albert Museum. In 1831 A Companion to the Panorama of Constantinople (not present here) was published by Leigh to accompany the panorama.
