(1787-1830), Boston, the three-year old child with large blue eyes is wearing a red dress, holding a book and pointing to flowers against a background with trees, ht 3 1/2, Id 2 3/4 in Note: Identifying label on the reverse reads "Susanna Niles Thayer, daughter of Susan T and Nathaniel F Thayer was born December 16, 1803, died January 21, 1806" Note: Henry Williams who was born in Boston worked there all his life as an engraver, portrait and miniature painter He advertised "miniatures and portraits executed upon ivory" He was most active painting miniatures between 1808 and 1826 His works were exhibited at the Boston Athenaeum from 1828 - 1831.
