Both paintings have been recently cleaned and lined. The painted surface have been slightly flattened by the relining. The first painting has inpainting to the area left of the figure, above the sitter's top lip and to the area right of the subject's bonnet. The second painting has an area of retouchings above the sitter's head and some scattered retouchings in the background.
