Krollman designed a series of poster for the Northern Pacific Railroad using images "that displayed a strong sense of modeling and a richness of color" (Zega p. 83). Here a train is passing by the resplendent Absaroka Mountains. Little is known about Krollmann except that he was of Austrian descent and that he settled in Minneapolis where he taught at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
