Item Overview

Description

TYRONE POWER (1914-1958) American film star. A great association group, two vintage I.S.P.'s 11" x 13" b/w, showing Tyrone in a head and shoulders pose. Both are inscribed to American singer Ethel Merman, the first reading: "For Ethel with my fondest best wishes always Tyrone ". The second has been ornamented by Power himself, who drew a mustache, eyebrows, and additional hair in white pen! At top, he writes: "For dear Ethel, After three days of 'Heat Wave' and a couple of choruses of Alexander affectionately Tyrone ". The first photo is handsomely framed in a carved gilt frame, while the characterized example is unmounted. Two pieces, in very good condition, and certainly worthy of framing together. $300-400
