At first sight Kolte's paintings are abstract representations differing, often in monochromatic color schemes, but at closer inspection the lines and colors unintentionally provoke the viewer into seeing fragments of an imaginary landscapes or reminiscences of architectural forms. Kolte's paintings compel complete attention for only then the imagination takes over and looking becomes a unique experience.
