Rafael Monzó (b.1952) Spanish "The Farmer" Signed, inscribed with the artist's name and the date (19)78, also inscribed Bertran Gallineros, oil on canvas, 100cm by 80.5cm Born in Barcelona and studied under Professor Ramon Sanvinsens. Monzó became a member of the Catalan group of New Fauvist Painters "Blauvermelligroc". He had numerous exhibitions 1966-1999 primarily in Spain, France and Britain. Exhibitions of his work were held in 1991 at the Duncalfe Gallery, Harrogate and at the Walker Gallery, Harrogate in 1993. See illustration
