Notes

Pereda was a renowned sculptor active in Lombardi after studying at the Accademia de Brera. He exhibited frequently at the main Italian Salons, notably in Torino with in 1869 La prima Lezione, 1871 La Prima Comiunone, 1880 La Rete d'Amore, and in 1882 Piccolo Africano e Piccola Africana, amongst others. He also participated in three exhibitions in London in 1874, 1876, and 1888.
