Notes

Randy Fehr is a completely self-taught artist, and has spent over thirty years pursuing the creatures he loves. His attention for detail has created a following of collectors over the years, and it continues as his work progresses to a new level of awareness. Fehr was born in 1948 and raised on a farm in Northern Alberta, where he spent many hours observing the animals and habitat around. Then, when his family relocated in Calgary, he again wandered the hills and mountains close by. Fehr has received the Canada 125 Commemorative Award for his contribution to Canadian Culture, and has been a contributor to many other non-profit organizations. Over the years, Fehr has turned his artistic talents to different mediums, such as bronze sculptures, hand colored prints and cold cast wall reliefs. Fehr has always striven to bring uniqueness to his artistic endeavours and to keep his work desirable for collectors. His interest has not been limited to North American mammals but embraces many creatures. No matter what artistic avenue he turns his attention to, he spends much time studying his subject matter to make certain of the accuracy that would elude a casual observer. Fehr has had many limited edition prints produced, several of which are sold out. His work is collected and displayed in many public & corporate offices worldwide and by numerous private collectors. Randy Fehr and his wife Kathren reside in the picturesque Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. When not in his studio painting, Randy can be found off hiking the many trails found there, looking for inspiration for his next work.
