Lot 280: REGATTA HARRY WYSOCKI FRAMED

A vintage pulp paper lithograph titled Regatta by Harry Wysocki. This print depicts a pair of sail boats with billowing sails on the sea with the wake spilling over the mat. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left. Professionally framed and matted, measures 28"x22"x3/4". Weight 7 pds 10 oz. Harry Wysocki, brother of the Charles Wysocki, is an accomplished artist well known for his Americana paintings. Harry was born in a Polish-American neighborhood in Detroit and later moved to Los Angeles where he graduated from Art Center College of Design. Wysocki's work has been exhibited in the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Museum of Science and Industry in Los Angeles, and the San Francisco de Young Museum. Numbered among his many accolades are nineteen national and local awards from print shows in New York, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Three of his prints are now in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., as well as one painting in the United States Air Force Art Collection. He has had one-man and group shows at the many well known galleries in California USA.
