REHBERG, Frederick (artist). Drawings faithfully copied from Nature at Naples ... dedicated to ... Sir William Hamilton. [London]: 1794. 2° (410 x 310mm), engraved title with medallion portrait of Emma Hamilton and 12 plates by Thomas Piroli after Rehberg. (Some dust-soiling and waterstaining, mainly marginal.) Mid-19th-century half calf (scuffing to joints and corners). ASSOCIATION COPY, presented by Lord Nelson to Alexander Davison ("Received from Lord Nelson in St. James's Square 26 April 1803 A[lexander] D[avison]" -- pencil inscription on title over-written in ink at a later date). Early issue with 12 plates not 24. Lowndes V, 2068. [With]:

DANTE ALIGHIERI (1265-1321). La Divina Commedia, ed. Romualdo Zotti. London: R. Zotti, 1808. 4 vols., 12° (159 x 100mm), engraved portrait. (Final preliminary in vol. I holed with slight loss.) Contemporary diced calf, flat gilt spines, vols. I & IV with letter "D" on label at head, vols. II-III with crest of a bird surmounting a crown (spines heavily rubbed, that of vol. I lifted along lower joints). Provenance: Davison family (binding) -- S.E. Widdrington (bookplate). Lowndes II, 589; and 11 other vols. with Davison provenance.
