RHODE ISLAND BASKET OF FRUIT STILL LIFE PAINTING, oil on panel, period inscription "Painted by Kinsley C. Gladding, Providence, R. I. 1850" on verso, not framed. Gladding (1802-1866) is recorded as an ornamental painter producing clock and look-glass tablets, magic lantern glasses, mourning pieces, etc. Mid 19th century. 14" x 19". Very good condition, darkened surface, crack at right edge, several scratches and area of wear.
