Ription François Edouard Picot (Paris 1786 - 1868) Cupid and Psyche, oil on canvas, 25 x 33 cm, magnificent original gilded ornamental Empire frame dating from the early 19th century, (Wo) The present painting probably served as a modello for the work at the Lourve in Paris, signed and dated 1817. This is also suggested by the fact that the artist has left primed strips varying in width blank along the margins.
