Robert Peters comments, "Water has always been a favorite subject of mine and is always a joy to paint. The variety of textures, forms and lines, I find to be exceptionally appealing. "Pebbly Brook" typifies the balance and harmony that can be found with these elements in one simple but striking scene." Provenance: loan to the U. S. State Department during the Bush administration and was exhibited in the United States embassy in Muscat, Oman. Upon the painting's return, it was then part of an exhibition at the Phippen Museum of Western Art, "Greatest Show on Earth" landscape exhibition.
